Bella Poarch's natural Filipino parents had Bella in the Philippines on the 9th of February 1997. Her adoption took place when she was three by her grandmother, living in slums. Her adoptive father is white American who has military experience, and her mother who adopted her is Filipino. She says her adoptive brother and she were abused from when she was a child until she enlisted. They lived with their uncle at San Francisco for several months before returning to Texas to celebrate her 13th birthday due to the requirement for her father to undergo bypass surgery. The physical violence subsided, but she was still battling her father's mental abuse at home. At the age of 18, Poarch enlisted into the United States Navy. Poarch was the first to join TikTok in April 2020, rapidly gaining fame. She amassed over 40 million followers within less than 8 months. The video of Millie B's Soph Aspin Send, which is now a big hit for Millie B was her greatest success. The clip, which was zoomed in, of her lip-syncing rhythmically to the melody and jumping in sync with it, was a viral video that has since become TikTok's most popular video. In the months after joining TikTok she launched a YouTube and Twitter account to capitalize on her popularity. Poarch's fame reached its peak at the end of December in 2020. She reportedly piqued the interest of two big professional Esports teams. 100 Thieves as well as FaZe Clan expressed interest in employing her as a creator of content under their respective brands.
