Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a popular American actor and singer. She is a Michigan native who was born and raised by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) as well as Tom Bell (a TV news director). She is the daughter of a Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen discovered a passion in the performing arts from the age of a child. When she was in 1992, she went to her very first audition. The audition was for a part in Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent when she was 13, and she was subsequently cast in television advertisements for newspapers and commercials. Also, Bell began taking acting lessons privately. Bell had a role that was not credited in Polish Wedding (1998), the film that was released in 1998. Bell was a part of the music and drama groups of Shrine Catholic High School. She was a part of Dorothy in the school production of The Wizard of Oz. Following graduation, Bell moved in New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts, where she was a musical theater student. Bell quit the school in 2001, when she took the role of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. Her first film credits in Pootie Tang at the beginning of 2001. However, her scene, was trimmed and now her only appearance is in the end credits. Bell played part of the Broadway revival The Crucible starring Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
